Privacy Policy

BetterPaste is designed as a local-first browser utility. For all standard text processing tools (Clean, Convert, Extract, Format), the text you paste into the application is processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript.

Your pasted content is not intentionally uploaded to our servers, stored in our databases, or used for training AI models.

Because processing happens locally, we do not have a record of the data you process. When you refresh the page or close your browser tab, the data in the workbench is typically cleared from memory.

We may use standard web analytics to understand high-level usage patterns (e.g., which tools are most popular, which pages are visited). This data is typically anonymized and does not include the content of your pasted text.

Our server logs may record your IP address and user agent string for security and debugging purposes, which is standard for almost all web applications.

While we strive to keep BetterPaste as private as possible, we recommend avoiding pasting highly sensitive personal identifiable information (PII), credentials, or top-secret data into any web application unless you are self-hosting the tool or have audited the source code.

BetterPaste is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and is provided "as is". As the product evolves, we will update this policy to reflect any changes in how data is handled.
